Pieter Libin
Pieter Libin obtained his PhD in Computer Science at VUB in 2020 and is an assistant professor at the AI lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel since November 2021. His research aims to support decision makers by using machine learning techniques in combination with realistic simulation models. He is concerned with both theoretical and applicational AI and specializes in reinforcement learning and Bayesian modeling. He has a broad experience in modeling and analyzing real-world systems, ranging from virus diversity and epidemic emergencies to renewable energy providers.
