Agnes Crepet
Agnes Crepet strives to make Tech more inclusive, fair and sustainable, rather than pushing it as the solution to solve everything. She has over 20 years in software engineering as Developer, Tech Lead and even Teacher. She has been working mostly for Fairphone since 2018, as the Head of Software Longevity. Fairphone is a social enterprise creating the world’s first ethical, modular and repairable smartphone to make sure that you shouldn’t have to choose between a great phone and a fair supply chain. She co-founded the company of developers, Ninja Squad, in France using and promoting Open Source and publishing Tech and Pay What You Want books. She’s also actively involved in non-profit collectives and different communities. She co-founded MiXiT, an annual Tech event in France since 2011, with nearly 1,000 participants and speakers, which strives for more diversity and ethics in Tech. She has been leading Duchess France since 2010 which makes women in IT more visible. She is also in the team of Le Numero Zero, an open publishing network of activist collectives and people that report on political and social issues, mainly in Saint-Etienne, remaining silent in the mass media.
