Karen Melchior MEP
Karen Melchior a former Danish diplomat turned politician and digital activist. In 2019 Karen was elected to the European Parliament. She is focused on digital regulation.
The fight for an open and free internet has been at the centre of her political work as she sees this as the only way to ensure freedom of speech and democracy around the world. In recent years she has worked on laws such as the Digital Services Act, Artificial Intelligence Act, Data Act and the Product Liability Directive, advocating for legislation that addresses the needs of the Open Source community.
