Brussels / 2 & 3 February 2019

schedule

Felix Bert

The speaker description is potentially outdated as it is from a previous FOSDEM edition.

Felix gets a thrill out of uncovering insights from data and loves to work on ways to put machine learning to good use. He has a background in mechanical engineering and business administration with a focus on econometrics and got hooked on machine learning while working on object detection approaches for LiDAR point clouds. Currently, he is working as a Data Scientist for AIM @Deutsche Bahn in Frankfurt, where he helps develop methods to make predictive maintenance based on sound data of heavy machinery a reality for clients in- and outside the DB group. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, learning languages (Russian and Finnish), Indian food, and building stuff.
