FOSDEM '08 is a free and non-commercial event organised by the community, for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers a place to meet.

Call for volunteers

Less than 3 weeks until FOSDEM, how time flies... Yes, it's almost that time of the year again. With over 200 talks and more than 4000 geeks to cater to, this means a lot of work.

That's why we're calling on you, our beloved visitors, to lend a hand during the event and help us make this edition at least as good, and if possible even better, than the years before.

But what can I do, you might ask?

Wel, I'm glad you asked... Because, as it turns out, there's actually a lot you can do to help us steer things along the right path...

You can help us greet, help and inform your fellow visitors. Or you might want to assist the speakers and moderate the talks. Maybe help out with the donations, or use your linguistic skills and act as a translator for our foreign guests. Call some taxis, or perhaps even help guard our precious equipment

Anyway, if all of this sounds like a lot of fun then you're the man (or woman) we need... Get your mouse cursor over to your email client and mail at once, and don't miss this most excellent opportunity to be a part of the team. Even if just for a few hours in between talks... Heck, we'll understand. If we didn't have to organize this event, we'd all be blogging it from the devrooms...
